Junior IT Helpdesk Engineer

Our client is a large regional Law Firm providing services to both the corporate and private sector. The firm is now looking to recruit a Junior IT Helpdesk Engineer who will work with the IT manager and third-party support company to provide support and solutions to staff.

Based in their Camberley office you will be required to travel to our Wokingham office to provide support as necessary. You will be fully supported and coached and this is a great opportunity to develop your IT support skills.

In this Junior IT Helpdesk Engineer role you will be required to:

  • Provide 1st line IT support for existing hardware and software.
  • Prioritise service requests and incidents by urgency and impact
  • Carry out software updates
  • Using a variety of management consoles and tools
  • Provide application support on all desktop applications which includes Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Install, support and relocate hardware and connecting devices to the network
  • Troubleshooting software problems
  • Work with other members of IT to achieve a resolution to support calls
  • Raise calls with third party suppliers
  • Provide excellent customer service

Technical Requirements:

  • 1 - 2 year's experience in a 1st Line Support role.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft products: Windows 7/Server 2008R2. Office 2010, Active Directory

This position is based in Camberley, Surrey and pays a salary in the region of £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.
